How to check in an object that has been checked out by another Toad user (4308070)

There are occasions when a Team Coding administrator needs to check in an object that was checked out by another Toad user.

For example, if the user who checked out the object is not available to check-in or undo check-out.

Or, one Toad user is still using an older version of Toad and the object was in a checked out state when the Team Coding objects were updated/migrated in 12.7 and above. Checking in again with lower version of Toad only applies to the older team coding objects and not reflected in the newer Toad.

How can the Team Coding administrator override the check-out and check-in the object?

** Note the following can only be done by a Toad user with TC_ADMIN_ROLE on the connected database:

1. Go to View | Team Coding Manager | Team Projects tab
2. Expand the relevant project object type branch to locate the specific object
3. Right click the object | Advanced | Click 'Break Team Coding Lock'

At this point, the object in the database and the repository may be out of sync, depending on what work was done by the user who had previously checked it out. After breaking the lock, the next time the object is checked out, Toad will compare the db against the repository and prompt the user for which version they wish to work with.
