Oracle CRS installer does not support virtual name -
Description
Using a virtual name when creating a CRS agent is not supported by either the CRS installation wizard or the Silent Installer tool (command line installation) -
Cause
When creating CRS agent using the CRS installer, you need to use physical name or IP address and not virtual. A virtual name isn't supported by the CRS installer wizard. -
Resolution
Both tools only support using a physical name or an IP address.
This has been logged as a known issue ODB-9291 in the Foglight cartridge for Oracle release notes.
