It takes minutes to create an agent. Why?

Cause
The following message in the FglAM log indicates that the the polling interval is "154 - 308 seconds" so each roundtrip to the client could take up to 5 minutes. Agent creation requires more than one roundtrip, hence the long time.
VERBOSE [UpstreamPolling[8]-0] com.quest.glue.core.comms.transport.http.Connection - Upstream host http://fmshost:port changed the polling interval to 154 - 308 seconds.

Resolution
To get the intervals down to a more responsive level the "Max Number of Polls" value can be increased from 500 to 5000. As well, verify that the "Minimum Polling Interval" has not been increased (default is 5).
The "Maximum Number of Polls (per minute)" setting can be modified from the Foglight console with the following steps:- Navigate to "Administration | Agents | Agent Properties | FglAM | FglAMAdapter".
- Set the Maximum Number of Polls Per Minute to 5000. Verify Minimum Polling Interval is 5.
- Click the Save button.
