Error attempting to connect via ODBC: "Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1
Description

The following error occurs attempting to connect via ODBC to DB2 server:
"Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 127 (IBM DB2 ODBC DRIVER)."
Cause

Error normally due to incompatibilities between the DB2 client installed by Toad and earlier DB2 client version drivers already installed on your machine.
Resolution

RESOLUTION 1:
Check the option under the IIS Admin: "Allow service to interact with desktop". Restarted the service and TOAD and then a connection should be established.

Recreate ODBC connection is using Toad's TACOM driver as follows:
1. Select File | New | Connection and select ODBC on Group then select Data source name.
2. Select ODBC Data Source Administrator next to Data Source Name.
3. Select the Add button to create a connection using IBM DB2 ODBC DRIVER - TACOM25 or TACOM26.
