Is it possible to restore the forest functional level with Recovery Manager for AD?

Resolution
It is possible to use RMAD to restore an entire Forest. The only supported method is to demote all the DCs but one. Then use the RMAD Repair wizard to restore that DC from backup. Once the DC is back online, promote all of the other DCs back. They will then use the restored DC to replicate from.
Before attempting any type of forest restore, Microsoft needs to be consulted to determine if this is the only possible option for resolution.
Please note, Recovery Manager for AD Forest Edition allows you to automate the Forest restore procedure. Forest Edition will restore from backup to all DCs simultaneously, removing the need for the manual steps as noted above, and significantly reducing the amount of time needed to restore the entire forest.
