After adding objects to a SR (Service Request), the SR stays in Read-Only Mode.
The "read only" status is expected and depending on the number of objects being added/removed or locked/unlocked, can last a varying length of time. The "read only" status occurs when changes are being made to the Stat database repository.
Solution:
1. Verify that the Stat Agent is Responding, by selecting Tools | Agent Status.
2. Verify that there are no Objects in reserved status, indicated by a clock icon.
3. When locking a large numbers of objects, it is expected for the SR to stay in Read Only mode while the objects are being processed.
However, if the SR stays in Read Only Mode for an extended period of time, contact Quest Support at support@quest.com for further evaluation.
NOTE:
- Overriding the "read only" SR status through manual SQL database updates can result in escalating database syncing problems.
- If is it possible, you can try to create a new SR and use the new SR instead of the old one.
