Does Toad support Cloudera Impala and Cloudera Hive?
Description
Does Toad support connection to a Cloudera Impala and Cloudera Hive database? If not, are there plans to support it in the future?
Resolution
Cloudera Hive is not supported. Cloudera Impala is limited support in Toad Data Point 3.8 but will have full support and certification on Toad Data Point 4.0. Please use the Impala ODBC driver only.

As of version 4.1 Cloudera ODBC Driver for Impala 2.5.22.1023 is supported
Cloudera Hive is only supported via generic ODBC, not via Apache Hive. SSL Server certificate information would be taken from the DSN. Any additional string can be added in the Connection String field.
