Go to where you have installed the web portal, e.g., C:\erwin Web Portal r9.7.0-910-20171012\erwinMetadataManagement
Run Setup.bat. Preferably, run that as Administrator.
The Metadata Management (MM) Setup window launches.
Remove the checkbox on "Enable Windows Service"
Press Configure.
An "Action Successful" window should appear.
The service should now be removed from the device.
NOTE: if the service is not removed, the user may manually remove the service by going to a DOS prompt (preferably elevated) and executing,
Sc delete EWP
