ERROR: [4618-33-102-00001728] Unable to open NSF file..."The prompt for password was aborted by user (4303604)

When trying to migrate a Notes database NSF file, you may receive the following error:

ERROR: [4618-33-102-00001728] Unable to open NSF file 's:\User\User.nsf'
NSFDbOpen:
The prompt for password was aborted by user

This error will happen if you are trying to migrate a Notes NSF file, that has encryption set on it. The database will ask for authentication before it allows the application to open the database and the application is not able to provide this.
 

Verify the encryption is not set on the database in question. Check in Domino Administrator before you move the NSF file over .

From Domino Administrator:

• Go to the database file and right-click then select Properties.
• Look for encryption settings. If they are turned on then they will need to be turned off.
