Error "Unable to read field definitions" when using Import Table Data
Description

In Database | Import | Import Table Data, the following error is displayed when importing from a pipe ( | ) delimited file which was exported from SQL Server.

"Unable to read field definitions"
Cause

The file does not have a BOM (Byte Order Mark) so Toad is unable to identify the file encoding.
Resolution

Open the file in Notepad and then save.
