Add a table to an existing .TXP model and then add a relationship gets the error below:
Access violation at address 012B5958 in module 'TDM.exe'. Read of address 00000000.
It is a brand new installation of TDM on the PC with no previous TDM installations.
The issue is most likely a problem with the model itself. The error maybe occurring during key migration and the migration happens when the user creates a new entity and links it with another entity using relationship.
The first step to troubleshoot the issue is to enable ‘Expert Mode’ and try the ‘Test Model - Repair Model - Test Model’ combo. This process usually fixes inconsistencies in the model causing the errors.
If it does not help, try deleting the entity that links to the new entity and create it again. It is likely that there may be some inconsistencies in the entity and recreating it may fix the problem; that is if there are no other problems.
If even that still does not work, please try to reduce your model to the problematic objects and send the model to Toad Support. This is usually enough for us to find the cause; all data sent to us is confidential and can be accessed by Support and Developers only.
