NOTE: Ensure all Toads are FULLY closed / exited anytime you perform Toad user files manipulation.
From the old PC, go to to the location:
C:\Users\<your_user>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\
Copy the whole "Toad for SQL Server x.x" folder (where x.x is your TSS version) to the new PC in the same identical location path. Make a backup of this folder as well in case of errors.
When you start Toad on the new machine, Toad will automatically use that folder, if the versions are the same. If the versions are no longer the same i.e. v6.8 on old PC and v6.9 on new PC, Toad will ask you if you want to migrate the settings. Please use this migration route so that Toad can properly migrate / convert the user files.
The above will also include your Saved Connections.
If you want to migrate your Saved Connections only and you want the rest of Toad to be factory default (clean) settings, only copy over the "Connections.xml" file from the old PC to the new PC (this file is located in the "Toad for SQL Server x.x" folder).
