Does SharePlex lock tables during reactivation (4299687)

At times the same config file need to be activated once again. It is important to  know if Shareplex locks the objects already in replication as this has implications on downtime required on source database.

For continuing objects, Shareplex will not lock the objects when the same active config file is activated again.  As a matter of good practice, it is always advisable to make a copy of the currently active config file and activate the copy. This will in effect activate the same config file once again. This will also prevent any loss of activation, should the fresh command to activate the config fail for any reason as the previously active config file will then  prevail.
