The following errors are observed in the event_log when there are numerous out of sync existing on target:
Error 2016-02-16 12:15:43.354071 130191 3588057408 s:4 Poster: 17007 - Error closing file /db/SharePlex/XEDW1PR/splxvardir1/oh9/8.6/XEDW1PR/2390/log/SID1_errlog.sql: Device or resource busy. (posting from SID1, queue queue_name, to SID2) [module opo]
The error may not stop Post from functioning, in the sense that Post may recover from these errors on its own from time to time and then run into them again.
A. If the disk is full, carry out the following steps on the target:
1. Shutdown Shareplex
2. Add more space to the device holding the variable directory of Shareplex
3. Rename/remove the file *errlog.sql so that a new one is created upon restart of Shareplex.
4. Restart Shareplex
5. Once you see the new *errlog.sql file created by Post, delete the old *errlog.sql file
B. If there is no disk full issue, and if there are numerous out of sync, then carry out the following steps on the target:
1. Shutdown Shareplex
2. Rename/remove the file *errlog.sql so that a new one is created upon restart of Shareplex.
3. Restart Shareplex
4. Once you see the new *errlog.sql file created by Post, delete the old *errlog.sql file
5. Fix the out of sync on the affected tables which will reduce the writing activity on the file *errlog.sql
