In some situations, the immediate processing of log files is not possible and customers might want to save log files for later processing them into Quest MessageStats.
Some examples:
With MessageStats, the only thing we can go back in time and look at are the tracking logs. Everything else is taken at the time of the gathering (e.g. Mailbox and Information Store Sizes) and there would be no means to gather that information from period in the past.
So what needs to be saved are the tracking logs from your Hub Transport and Edge servers. Also, the protocol logs for OWA reporting could be saved if desired. Make you sure you have those enabled and preserved, until you are able to have them processed onto Quest MessageStats.
