Can a LiteSpeed backup taken on SQL Server 2000 be used to restore onto SQL Server 2008? Are there any issues or special steps that need to be taken?
Upgrade of SQL Server to version 2008.
Once LiteSpeed has been installed on the destination server, restore using the backup file from the source server.
LiteSpeed is backward compatible. As long SQLServer can restore using native backup and restore, LiteSpeed will be able to perform the restore successfully.
