User connects to an Oracle database with Toad for Data Analysis. In the Editor window every 5 seconds (or other set amount of time) the user sees the following error in the output window:
ORA-02005: implicit (-1) length not valid for this bind or define datatype.
User has no other problems connecting to the database or running SQL queries.
DBMS Polling is turned on and user does not have privileges.
By default DBMS Polling is off when using Toad for Data Analysis; however, if it is on and the user doesn't have privileges to poll the DBMS output, they may get errors.
Click on the Connection Output tab where you see the error messages appearing. There is a clock or watch icon that says "Poll DBMS Output for lines" when you hover the cursor over it. Click it to turn it off. There is also Red or Green circle icon to turn off Output. You may need to click on that as well.
