Error received when you try to expand a public folder hierarchy node in the console tree view.

"Could not connect to the public folder hierarchy through the following Exchange Server: <DN of Exchange Server>."

* Network connectivity issue
* The account you are using to connect to the Exchange Server, does not have the "Send As" and the "Receive As" permissions on the mailbox store that hosts the System Attendant mailbox of that Exchange Server.

This issue may occur due to the following problems
- The Exchange Server is down or there are network connectivity problems.
-OR-
- The account you are using to connect to the Exchange Server, does not have the �Send As� and the �Receive As� permissions on the mailbox store that hosts the System Attendant mailbox of that Exchange Server

WORKAROUND

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

1. Use the Ping command-line tool to test the Exchange Server connectivity. If the Exchange Server is unavailable, then either the Exchange Server is down or there are network connectivity problems. Contact your network administrator to resolve this issue.

2. If the Exchange Server is available, then the account you are using does not have the "Send As" and the "Receive As" permissions on the mailbox store that hosts the System Attendant mailbox of that Exchange Server. See the following Microsoft articles on how to obtain these permissions:
