How erwin Mart saves models in versioin (4296946)

Description:

I did modified the model in the Mart and then click Mart / Save with option ‘Maintain Multiple Versions ‘ checked and got version description window below:

Instead of clicking OK for saving , I clicked Cancel. Thereafter it is getting saved automatically as below and I would like to know what does the number 487 mean in following window? Does number 487 relate to the objects in the model saved into Mart?

Solution:

The number on the saving progress bar is not the number of objects in the model, but its the data file size, block by block that is getting saved into the mart. A model version records the various developmental changes that the model has undergone. Each time you save any changes in a model, a new model version is created with a sequential version number. Therefore, each version is preserved and serves as a record of each set of changes made in a particular save. You can disable this option by unchecking "Maintain Multiple Versions"
