After a forest recovery there are no DNS servers listed in the network adapter settings of a Windows 2008 domain controller

Cause
The DNS servers are not listed in the TCP/IP properties, however they are listed on the DNS tab of the advanced TCP/IP settings. The DNS servers are also set in the below registry location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{GUID}\NameServerAlthough the DNS servers in the registry key are separated by spaces when typically they are separated by commas, they will function properly.

Resolution
This has been submitted as a defect, and will be resolved in a future release of the product. The domain controller will still function properly with the restored DNS settings.
