Description
In Foglight Storage Manager we did not get an alert when we had a failure on one of our NetApp filers; a shelf lost a path to the controller. No data was impacted nor did any users lose access.

Cause
Foglight storage Manager reads and reports on the metrics and the usability of devices. If the user data is not impacted and it is not an object we monitor (LUNs, Disks, etc…) FSM does not throw an alert. FSM is developing a method to report on any alerts thrown by the NetApp.
This is a known enhancement for Foglight Storage Manager referenced by Quest Tracking ID VFGLS-1005.

Resolution
Enhancement request VFGLS-1005 has been submitted to Development for inclusion in a future release. Please check the release notes of latest software to determine which enhancements have been included in this release.
