Toad Data Point Import time from an Excel file to an Oracle table is very slow. It takes 45 minutes whereas Toad for Oracle only takes 10 min.
Cause

Not using a native Oracle Client. Currently using Direct Connect or ODBC.
Resolution

If you are currently using Direct Connect or ODBC, please try using the native Oracle Client (using the tnsnames.ora file) instead to connect to Oracle, and then try the import again.
If you have many Oracle Clients, try to clean it up as well or ensure only one Oracle Client is set to be used.
