Description
When trying to connect, the error below is received. The OS is Windows 2008 Server R2.
ERROR:
Access violation at address 000007FEDD0F2C58 in module 'orageneric12.dll'. Read of address 000007FEE1BB2558.
Cause
The Oracle Client 12c was installed as 'Custom' and some required selections may have been missed.
Resolution
Reinstall your 12c Oracle Client, but this time ensure to select 'Administrator' type of install in the Oracle Client installation wizard. Toad Support recommends to select the 'Administrator' type of install so that the Oracle executables are also installed (i.e. sqlldr.exe, exp.exe, etc.) as well as all rights and privileges needed in the OS are also set.
