Hive (HortonWorks) connection using ODBC error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application (4295785)

Hive (HortonWorks) connection using ODBC gets the error:

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application

Download a 32-bit Hortonworks ODBC driver for Hive and install it, if you don't have one yet.

Next, start the ODBC Administrator via Toad Data Point by going to File | New | Connection | choose 'ODBC Generic' | click the "Open ODBC Data Source Administrator" icon next to the 'Data source name:' field box.  This will ensure the 32-bit ODBC Administrator is the one started.  

Create a new 32-bit ODBC connection as normal and label its name with 32-bit.  Use this new 32-bit ODBC connection you just created in Toad Data Point to connect to Hive.
