Description

How to prevent access to the option “Check for updates on startup” in the Environment | General Options section.
Resolution

1) Go to “C:\Users\Your_User\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for DB2 5.2\”.

2) Open the “Settings.xml” file.

3) Look for and change the entry below:

From:

<checkNewVersion>true</checkNewVersion>

To:

<checkNewVersion>false</checkNewVersion>

4) Save the file.
