Unable to restore GPOs (4294809)

Unable to restore a GPO via the Wizard

Following error get displayed:

Cannot bind to the RootDSE on the specified domain controller

The Server is not operational

Non-GPO Objects can be restored

RMADFE-2554

This issue is caused by a script failing to bind if the first DC found by DsGetDomainControllerInfo is not available

Workaround

• Remove the disabled DC completely from AD
• Unpack the backup then deploy the GPOs to restore manually

 Solution

• Engineering has identified this issue under RMADFE-2554 and a fix will be provided in a future version
