Title

No events coming from SQL agent
Description

The Change Auditor Agent is running and connected but there is no events on the coordinator coming from particular Agent
On the Agent Status Tray, the count is not being incremented and goes back to zero after restarting the Agent
Cause

The file etwcnf.xml was renamed to etwcnf_disabled.xml in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn

Note: (MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER ) > depend on what is the version installed. It could be different based on the version.
Resolution
After reviewing KB86707 and if still not working perform below instruction:
1. Confirm that etwcnf.xml exists under the BIN folder for the MSSQLSERVER SQL instance and can be opened
  1. ie: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn
2. If file was changed then rename to etwcnf.xml
3. Refresh the Configuration and check the events again
