Error Message:

Could not load file or assembly 'system.windows.interactivity.publickeytoken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its depedencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Symptoms:

When a user clicks on Open Casewise Diagram, Visio crashes and throws error,

However other functions like Create New Diagram and Recent Diagrams is working as expected.

Cause:

There are a couple of reasons why this issue could occur.

1. Visio has been installed on a partition other than C:\ Drive:

2. The "My documents" folder is pointing to a partition other than C:\ Drive:

Resolution:

To resolve this issue, Visio needs to be installed on the primary partition C:\ Drive: and the Users My Documents folder also needs to be located on the C: partition
