No Global Rule/System Variable for Filers/Arrays/Switches when creating custom rules with no scoping query
Description
When trying to create a rule using the following:
RuleType: Simple Rule
Rule Triggering: Event Driven: AlarmSystemEvent
With No Scoping Query Rule Scope defined.
This rule will appear under Cartridge: Non-Cartridge
There is no Global Filer variable available to used.
Cause
Since there is no scope and no cartridge is defined; there needs to be a Global Parameter for the Filer.
This is a known enhancement request in Foglight referenced by Tracking ID VFGLS-3645.
Resolution
Enhancement request VFGLS-3645 has been submitted to Development for a fix in a future release. Please check the release notes of latest software to determine which bug fixes have been included in this release.
