When attempting to view an online Mailbox through Recovery Manager for Exchange (RME) console, the connection is made and the mailbox is opened but no mail content is displayed. Opening Outlook on the RME server and opening the mail profile successfully shows mailbox content.
A domain Group Policy is applied to force all Outlook clients to run in Cached Mode.
RME creates its own MAPI temporary profile as online (not cached) profile. RME creates the online MAPI profile, but its usage is denied by the group policy allowing RME to receive the contents of the Outlook folders. It is not related directly to Outlook cached mode, but to the policy that forces cached mode.
Ensure the Outlook client installed on RME server is running in Online Mode not Cached Mode. If a Group Policy enforces Cached Mode then ask your AD Administrator to remove the RME server from the Group Policy scope.
