Solution:
The way to Reverse Engineer from a Hive DBMS is to set up an ODBC Data Source in Windows. Make sure that you can connect to a Hive DBMS outside of erwin DM as setting up the ODBC driver wil lalso require the same parameters. In erwin DM you can Reverse Engineer by selecting Hive as the target DBMS and connecting using the ODBC Data Source.
