The CPU for a given SQL Server box spikes, and a lock happens on a SQL Server monitored with Spotlight.
A SQL Server trace shows the cause to be from a SYS.SP_getTrace.getData procedure call made by Spotlight.
Please turn SQL Analysis off or improve the filtering to reduce the number of rows returned.
1. Open Spotlight, click on Configure tab
2. Click on the SQL Analysis icon on the ribbon
3. Check the “Override the Default settings
4. Click on the "Data Collection" tab
5. Check “Use Sampling Server Side Trace”
