SQL Analysis turned on for all servers using the default Rowset Trace may cause performance issues

The CPU for a given SQL Server box spikes, and a lock happens on a SQL Server monitored with Spotlight.

A SQL Server trace shows the cause to be from a SYS.SP_getTrace.getData procedure call made by Spotlight. 

Please turn SQL Analysis off or improve the filtering to reduce the number of rows returned.

1. Open Spotlight, click on Configure tab
2. Click on the SQL Analysis icon on the ribbon
3. Check the “Override the Default settings
4. Click on the "Data Collection" tab
5. Check “Use Sampling Server Side Trace”

If no filters are set at all, this means the SQL Server is pumping back every query that gets executed on the SQL Server back to the Diagnostic Server which would then try and aggregate all that data.
