Support bundles generated from the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) may be empty or fail to create. This is often caused by large SQL PI statistics and old log files consuming disk space, preventing bundle creation.
SQL PI statistics are enabled by default and can consume large amounts of disk space.
Old agent logs and statistics files from previous database cartridge versions are not automatically removed.
Delete old SQL PI statistics files
Go to:{FglAM}\state\default\agents\{agent-ID}\DB_SQL_Server\
or DB_Oracle\
Delete folders for old cartridge versions (e.g., 6.1.x if current is 7.3.0.10).
In the current version folder, delete all .gz
and numbered log files.
Delete old agent logs
Go to:{FglAM}\state\default\logs\{agent-ID}\DB_Oracle\
(and other cartridges)
Remove folders for outdated cartridge versions.
Delete memory warning files
Delete all files in:{FglAM}\state\default\memorywarning
Adjust log file retention
Follow KB 4226553 to reduce log rollover and retention settings.
Retry bundle creation
After cleanup, attempt to generate the support bundle again.
You can stop SQL PI statistics collection using the attached Groovy scripts. Users must be logged into Supportlink to download these attachments.
