Toad Data Point (TDP) 3.8 connecting to Toad Intelligence Central (TIC) server can no longer see objects in the Object Explorer.
If a query is run in the Editor, the error: "You need a valid Data Connectivity license to connect to remote data sources and query live data" is received.
TDP 3.7 on the same computer can see the objects fine, however it still gets the error above when trying to view data via a query in the Editor or via right-click an object and click on 'View Details'.
The same issue happens on another PC (server machine that has TIC 2.7, TDP 3.8 and TDP 3.7).
CAUSE 1:
The license key in TIC shows as below.
Intelligence Central Server Unavailable
Key: N/A
Site Message: N/A
License Number: N/A
Unable to connect to this server to retrieve license details.
CAUSE 2:
The trial key has expired.
CAUSE 3:
The TIC Server version is not the same as the TIC Admin Console version.
RESOLUTION 1:
Restart Toad Intelligence Central.
RESOLUTION 2:
If the trial key has expired. Please enter your commercial license key using the steps below.
