Desktop Authority Manager does not open after a new remote SQL server and instance was created due to system failure. Errors that may appear are:
"You are not authorized to connect to the selected operations master or a connection to the database could not be established (-400)".
“The current DAConfiguration database version is “Exception getting configuration database version” and does not match expected database version of X.”
"Call failure while determining connection state".
Protocols for the SQL server instance may be disabled not allowing Desktop Authority to communicatie with the SQL server.
Open the SQL Server Configuration Manager tool and expand SQL Server Network Configuration | Protocols for "SQL instance name". Verify Named Pipes and TCP/IP are Enabled. If Disabled, right click and Enable. Verify these protocols are also Enabled under the Client Configuration. After protocols are enabled, restart the SQL Services.
