ISSUE:
When moving Collector to a new machine, previous configurations can be migrated for the old environment. This article provides a guide for performing the migration.
Install the same version or a newer one on the new machine, and configure it with a new DB – this will create Collector installation files/folders and services
Stop Windows Services – H2DB as the last. Copy the CC.h2.db file from the
old machine <oldDataPath>\erwinCollector\data\H2 to the new one
<newDataPath>\erwinCollector\data\H2;
C:\ProgramData\erwinCollector\data\H2 is the default path

If you are installing a version older than 7.5.1.400, it is required to keep the same connection name to Corporate Exchange (Erwin EA repository), to maintain existing configurations.
If installing 7.5.1.400 or later, the connection name migration is supported by
the configuration step (see step 5)

To avoid Adapters configuration update, create on the new machine the same path for Adapter Folders, and Model Configuration Folders, as the ones selected for Adapters and Model configurations on the old machine, then copy all ADAPT_<id>_struct.<ext> files from the old machine to the new one, in the relevant folders.

Run Collector Configuration on the new machine,
selecting the options “Database already exists”, “Keep Data”

Run Collector as usual
