Description
When attempting to create a new public search or modify a protection template in the web client the following error occurs:
'Error on request /Searches/Searches/NewQuery/' with the following exception:
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): No such host is knownat System.Net.Dns.InternalGetHostByAddress(IPAddress address, Boolean includeIPv6)at System.Net.Dns.GetHostEntry(String hostNameOrAddress) -
Cause
.NET Framework's 'Dns.GetHostEntry Method (String)' is being leveraged by the Web Client to resolve the host name or IP address to an IPHostEntry instance for the remote client running a Web Client session:

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Correct DNS to include a PTR records for the workstation in question. Alternatively, add an entry for the workstation to the Web Client/Coordinator server host file.
STATUS
Resolved in Change Auditor 6.9.1 and higher.
