When trying to add a column to a model I get the error: ESX-75 - Failed to set property [columns (4287926)

The model might be corrupted and the quickest way to resolve the problem is:
Save As XML Steps:
1. Open the Problem Model.
2. Click File/Save as and change the File Type to 'XML Min (*.xml)'.
3. Close the open model.                                      
4. Click File/Open and change the Files of Type to XML.
5. Open the XML File saved in step 2.      
6. Click Yes to check XML Structure.
See if the error happens again when editing the Column.
