Only three months of historical database history is being maintained
This is the default
The DB cartridge have its own retention policy (we are not using the default retention policy by Core) and by default our data is purged after 3 month, therefore the only three months of historical database data is being kept.
If the user would like to change the period, the retention policy can configured as follow:
To adjust Global Administration page (Databases -> Global Adminstation page -> Retention Policies)
Foglight UI Homes -> Databases -> select SQL Server -> select All -> Administer Agents -> Retention Policies...
Retention Policies - Retention Policy is used for defining the requested duration for which collection data (a set of metrics) is to be kept. Higher retention policy provides greater data granularity at the cost of increased resource consumption. Choosing a lower retention policy saves resources but results in lower data granularity. Retention policy schemes cannot be customized or created. The predefined policy schemes are available for selection from the list below.
The retention policy is currently defined as: [short | medium | large]
Short - Kept the data for 1 month.
Medium - Kept the data for 3 months (default)
Large - Kept the data for 1 year.
