Description
When attempting to install the Messagestats Blackberry Report Pack or OCS Report Pack on a Windows Server 2008/R2 machine, it has been found to cause an issue if the 2008 Server has Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended packages installed.
The Messagestats installation packages generates the following message:
"Microsoft .NET Framework
The installer has detected that Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is not installed on the local machine. Please install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 before installing the "MMC Client Console" or Task Processors" features." -
Cause
Conflict with .NET 4 Framework installed on Windows 2008 servers.

Resolution
Opening Windows Server 2008 Server Manager and removing the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended packages, and then rebooting the server will allow for the Messagestats BB and OCS reports packs installers to run successfully.
Check in 'add + remove' programs look for.
- Microsoft Framework 4 Client Profile
- Microsoft Framework 4 ExtendedIf these are present remove both. Reboot server then attempt install of Report Packs again.
