The SonicWall query source that is used by default is set to NETAPI instead of WMI. The NETAPI querying method does not take into account impersonation technology that is being utilized by Desktop Authority. The service account being used by the Desktop Authority Client service is obviously not the interactive logged on user.
*This is not a Desktop Authority issue.
Instruct the SonicWall SSO Agent to use WMI as the query source instead of NETAPI by performing the following steps:
1) Log into the SonicWall Console
2) Under Users | Settings | Users Tab
3) Check Probe users for WMI
4) Add User names used by Desktop Authority’s “Scriptlogic Service User” accounts. (DomainName\SLUSER)
SSO Agent
1) Expand SonicWall Directory Connector
2) Right Click Sonicwall SSO Agent and Click Properties
3) Change Query Source to WMI
HOW TO TEST the SSO Agent
1) Right Click Sonicwall SSO Agent and Click Diagnostic Tool
2) Query Source: WMI
3) Enter IP address of Machine and click get details
4) Details should return the correct user.
