Desktop Authority executes slowly on Win 2000 and XP clients with Novell Client installed. -
Description
When logging on to a Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or XP Professional client, Desktop Authority executes normally unless the Novell client32 V4.8x is installed on the workstation and the provider order is set to load the Novell client first. -
Cause
The provider order is set to load the Novell client first. -
Resolution
To avoid this behavior change the provider order on your Windows XP clients:
On each client, click on Start | Control Panel | Network Connections.
Then click the Advanced menu | Advanced Settings.
Adjust the Bindings for WAN order to load the Client for Microsoft Networks first.
