Unable to start the Foglight Agent Manager on SUSE Linux 11 -
Description
Unable to start the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) on SUSE Linux 11.
Starting up the FglAM as daemon seems to start up but there are no new logs created and the FglAM is never up.
When starting the FglAM via command line using "./fglam" below error appears.
Error occurred during initialization of VMCould not allocate metaspace: 1073741824 bytes -
Cause
This is caused by a JVM bug on SUSE Linux 11. -
Resolution
The virtual size limit of the server needs to be increased in order for the FglAM to start up as a daemon. The below command can be used to increase the limit.
ulimit -v 10485760
