401 Unauthorized on site collection -
Description
If Minimal Download Strategy is enabled in SharePoint 2013, you can get a "401 Unauthorized" error message when trying to access site collections even when you have the proper permissions. -
Cause
ControlPoint for Sharepoint 2013 requires that the Minimal Download Strategy site feature be disabled for the ControlPoint site.

Resolution
- Navigate to the ControlPoint Configuration Site > Site Settings, and then click on Manage Site Features.
- On the Manage Site Features page, deactivate the Minimal Download Strategy feature.
If you cannot access the page to get to Site Settings, you can also get to it by entering the following URL:
http://ServerName:1818/_layouts/15/Settings.aspx
where ServerName is the name of the ControlPoint server.
- Navigate to the ControlPoint Configuration Site > Site Settings, and then click on Manage Site Features.
