Using the Client Configuration Wizard to create on single client caused the error:
'SQL10007N Message "-1390" could not be retrieved. Reason code: "6"'
The following registry is correct:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | IBM | DB2 | InstalledCopies | TOADC51 | GLOBAL PROFILE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | IBM | DB2 | InstalledCopies | TOADC51 | PROFILES |
1. Close out of Toad DB2.
2. Go to Start | Search in Windows 7 (or Start | Run in Windows XP) and type in 'REGEDIT."
3. Please back your registry as it is critical to proper Windows operation.
(Note: It is also a good idea to check with your IT Adims about editing your registry)
4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | IBM | DB2 | InstalledCopies | TOADC<version> | GLOBAL PROFILE.
5. Make sure the GLOBAL PROFILE path points to the SQLLIB in the install path of Toad. For example, by default in Windows XP, the path for Toad 5.1 is C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for DB2 5.1\SQLLIB. Make sure your GLOBAL PROFILE points to that path and not somewhere else.
6. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | IBM | DB2 | InstalledCopies | TOADC<version> | PROFILES | TOADC<version>.
7. Make sure the TOADC<version> path points to the correct TOADC<version> App Data path. For example, by default in Windows XP, the Application Data path for Toad 5.1 is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM\DB2\ToadC51. Make sure your TOADC<version> points to that path.
8. Once you make the registry corrections, try to import your catalog again.
