"Metalogix ControlPointConfiguration has stopped working" error message
Description

The ControlPoint installation does not complete and shows the following instead:
Cause

The issue occurs when ControlPoint is upgraded or installed and an incorrect version of ControlPoint was used. For example, you have SharePoint 2010, but downloaded and installed ControlPoint for SharePoint 2013.
Resolution
1. Delete the incorrect ControlPoint version that was downloaded.
2. Go to the ControlPoint Downloads page and download the installer package for the corresponding SharePoint environment.
3. Proceed with installing ControlPoint.
