Foglight install fails when using a SQL Server repository with Windows Authentication and the option to enable as a service
Description

The Foglight installation fails with the following error:

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\user'.

Error in the SQL Server instance:

Login failed for user 'domain\user'. Reason: Attempting to use an NT account name with SQL Server Authentication. [CLIENT: FOGLIGHT_IP_ADDRESS]
Resolution
WORKAROUND 1

Complete the installer using a SQL Server Authentication user for the repository account.

Once the installation completes it can be changed to use Windows Authentication. For more information refer to How to change the Foglight repository to use Windows authentication instead of SQL Server authentication (4258033).

WORKAROUND 2
1. Run the installer with the Windows account to be used as the repository account.
2. When asked to configure Foglight as a Windows Service, choose the option Do not enable Foglight as a Service and complete the installation.
3. Once the installation completes, create the service manually by running [FMS_HOME]\bin\fms.exe -i and set the Windows account on the service.

This issue has been logged as defect Id. FOG-7102 has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release of Foglight.
