''Best practices to upgrade to 5.8''
1. If you have MAPI CDO instead of Outlook 2013 32bit installed on the server; then uninstall MAPI CDO (Messaging API and Collaborative Data Objects 1.2.1 in Add/Remove Programs > Control Panel)
Ensure all MAPI and Outlook Profiles are removed from:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\Profiles.
If you find any profiles in these locations while the AM Services are stopped, delete them all (you can delete the entire profiles key in both)
2. Install a supported Outlook client from the Archive manager system requirements section in the release notes:
https://support.quest.com/technical-documents/archive-manager/5.8/release-notes/3#TOPIC-1490054
3. After you have Outlook installed and the profiles deleted open the Configuration Console on the Archive Manager machine, click Advanced Settings and add:
Autodiscover Prefer MAPI over HTTP
Value: True
4. Start all Archive Manager Services, allow Archive Manager to run for about 30minutes, monitor the Export Directory to ensure new files are being written to it.
Note: If it's not working, upload the ESM.wlog, DL.wlog from the Quest\ArchiveManager\Logs directory, and every MailboxID-xx-mmddyy.wlog from the Quest\ArchiveManager\ESM\directory to the Service.
