When running Recovery Manager for AD 8.6.1 on Windows Server 2012R2 events are not displayed properly in the Application Event log. The event and an event ID are logged however an example of the description is as follows:
"The description for Event ID 1500 from source Recovery Manager for AD cannot be found. "
WORKAROUND #1:
Upgrade to Recovery Manager for AD 8.6.3
WORKAROUND #2:
Rename the Recovery Manager for Active Directory key to Recovery Manager for AD in the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\
