The Object Palette is missing, hidden or is not showing. How to show the Object Palette?

Resolution
Go to View menu | Object Palette.
Note that the panel can be pinned so that it will minimize to the side and only expand when the mouse hovers over it. The object palette will still be displayed as a tab on the side of the window in which it is docked (by default it is docked on the right side).
